JCS Language Services
Our passion for translation, interpreting and teaching, which we’ve been sharing since our days at university, soon became a real job. Hence the idea of founding JCS Language Services, an Italian company providing language services and operating both in Italy and abroad.
Drawing on a strong professional and personal synergy, and our infectious enthusiasm, we decided to create a place where to best express our expertise and passion.
JCS will assist you in communicating in a different language through:
- written translations (business documents, technical-scientific articles, financial or legal documents, etc.)
- oral translations for events or business meetings (in person or remote simultaneous, consecutive and dialogue interpreting, chuchotage, interpreting during video calls)
- language training (individual or group courses for companies and individuals, language proficiency tests).
OUR OFFER
Our Mission
J. Austin
We do things with words. This is our mission: to ease communication between people so as to allow them to truly achieve what they want to achieve. Our job is not just about translating words from a language into another. There are dictionaries or language manuals for that. It is not only about lexicon either. It is about conveying significance and meaning, cultural and emotional aspects, from one culture to another.
Our goal is to help you say exactly what you want to say, to whom you want to say it. Your words, our words, their words.

FAQ
Since both these terms refer to professionals working in the language field, they are often confused. However, their role is completely different.
The translator works with written words: he/she translates texts of various kinds exclusively in written form.
The interpreter, instead, works with the spoken word and carries out an oral and ‘extemporaneous’ and ‘real-time’ form of translation: he/she has to immediately convey an oral message to the audience in a different language.
The unit of measurement we adopt is the Italian translation ‘cartella’ (folder): a folder consists of 1,500 characters including spaces. To see the number of characters of the document to be translated just follow this procedure: In Word, go to ‘Tools’ – ‘Word Counting’ and consider the figure ‘Characters (including spaces)’.
The cost of a translation, however, varies according to the desired target language, type of document to be translated, technical nature of the text, and urgency.
Our staff will carefully analyze the material you want to have translated and will timely send you a free quotation.
